Hi, I'm Amelia. I appreciate passionate and creative people, clever use of puns, and authentic crepes. Also, airports, dance parties, Josh Ritter concerts, and foreign countries. But most importantly, I love nothing more than getting behind the camera—it's my happy place.
I have seen how the heart of Bloom & Lo—my business, my passion—is being lived out in the people I meet and photograph every month, both here in Atlanta (where I'm based) and abroad. I want to document people who are deeply rooted, growing towards the Light, producing fruit, and remaining humble throughout the process of their relationships. People who are real, honest, and not afraid to admit that they haven’t “arrived,” but are still very much in the beginning stages of growing together and figuring out life. I want to continue to bloom and see that others continue to bloom, too.
My photography isn’t just an album, or a canvas on a wall. And it certainly isn’t just a pretty smile and a timely snap of the camera shutter. It is something that requires time, humility, thought, and trust. It is something that lasts beyond yesterday, today and tomorrow. It captures moments of transition and change, and encourages light and vulnerability where darkness and fear may have formerly dwelt. It celebrates courage, confidence, and natural beauty.
All that to say the heart behind Bloom & Lo is found where growth and humility meet and form something beautifully authentic. My desire is to capture that and make it last.
So if you like what you see and want to see more, let's grab a cup of Scottish tea or a local brew and get to know each other!
