BLOOM & LO

Jenna & Lamar. Engaged. Midtown. Winn Park.

I met Jenna at a client's wedding a year ago, and jumped on the opportunity to photograph her wedding once I heard her fiancé proposed to her on a hot air balloon ride. I'm mean, come on...if you're going to propose to the love of your life, you've got to go big (hot-air-balloon big) or go home. Despite a last minute location change due to the sheer number of Atlanta residents taking advantage of such a refreshing Spring day, we found a lovely, more secluded park as our setting for their session. Thus, I give you Jenna & Lamar's perfect Spring session, full of all things bright and beautiful.
And with pollen counts increasing, bird chirps echoing, and dogwoods budding, we can all let out a huge sigh of relief as we shake off the chill of winter and greet all that has yet to bloom.

Headshots.

portraits, tipsAmelia LawrenceComment

With unemployment and job changes being all too frequent in this economy, and with the continual encroachment of social networking on the world of professional networking, it is no secret that image is important. That being said, here is my shameless plug for all you men and women seeking to up the ante for a professional yet appealing online "image." Go. Book. Your. Headshots. Now. With me, with "Jack & Jill Photographers" down the street, I don't care, as long as they're professional...Help us by letting us help you.

Professional headshots are an easy way to market yourself: find a simple location sans black drapes and cloud backdrops, and trade in the outdated pantsuits for a nice colorful blouse (or shirt and tie). While I hate to admit how influential our image can be in the professional world, I cannot deny how important a nice, clean, HAPPY headshot can be for your company's website, your business cards, and even your Linked-In profile. And yes, you and I both know it doesn't hurt to have a new Facebook profile pic that will probably, ahem, DEFINITELY, get you a lot of "likes"...Although in no way am I promoting finding your value in social media "likes."

OK, I'll hop off my soap box now...

Ursula & Ciro. Destination. Portraits.

Meet Ursula & Ciro, the mother and father of bride Vanessa (whose destination wedding you can find here). During my week in the Dominican Republic, I was able to not only photograph a stunning wedding at the Cap Cana Sanctuary, which I highly recommend to all you honeymooners out there, but to photograph the bride's lovely parents in between location scouting, piña coladas, and the actual wedding day festivities. Anyway, I could go on (yet again) about how incredible this trip was, but I'll just let you enjoy a few shots from their session around the resort. Lovely couple. ¡Gracias para esta oportunidad, Ciro y Ursula! Me encantan todas las fotos de tu amor y tu afection.
